Some say that less is more so in the spirit of this, today's post is going to be brief (not an easy task for someone who likes to go on and on and on... ;-))
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has been credited with saying "grief is the price we must pay for love", this is a sentiment that, in light of the recent loss in my life, I can identify with. However, as sure as eggs are eggs we will find ourselves learning to love again, even though there will always be the knowledge that the pain of loss may occur again. Luckily for us LOVE is the most profound of emotions and, no matter how corny it sounds, it CAN conquer all.
The most important person in the world that we should learn to love is ourselves. You are a wonderful person, unique, filled to the top with positive traits and plenty of flaws. The problem with a vast majority of us is we either don't see the negative flaws in us, but project them onto others, or we become so aware of our faults that we refuse to see our positive attributions.
So STOP IT now. Love yourself, every single bit of you. It's why you were loved in the first place.
They say laughter is the best medicine, so instead of anti-depressants why not try to find something funny that will make you laugh out loud everyday? If you are looking for a way to bring more laughter into your life, you could consider joining LOU (Laughter Online University). It's free to sign up, they offer courses in laughter for as little as $99 a year and BONUS, it's better for you.
Blessings as always
I'm just like you, struggling to come to terms with life and everything it throws at you!
